Acclimatization is the process that helps the body to adapt to new conditions. With the change of time zones or a sharp change in temperature, this phenomenon is more difficult. Usually it takes about two days. And if there is a change in the time zone, then about three days.
In order not to confuse such a process with poisoning or cold, you need to know clearly how acclimatization takes place in children. Often this state appears at the very beginning of the holiday. It is accompanied by general weakness, headache, dizziness, sleep disturbances, fever, nausea, and gastrointestinal disturbances.
Kids become very irritable and often fussy. Such a condition they can last more than seven days. Therefore, going on a trip with the whole family, plan your vacation for at least three weeks, then the process of acclimatization in children will be much easier. If your child is allergic, then such reactions may appear. When collecting a first aid kit on the road, be sure to put antihistamines in there.
What should I do to reduce the level of acclimatization in children?
Try in the first days to swim in the sea as little as possible. Do not be in direct sunlight. Sunbathe only in permitted hours. Give preference only to natural tissues. Be sure to purchase a parasol and special protective equipment. Give the child as much drink as possible. Let it be water and juice. Completely refuse carbonated drinks. Try not to overeat. Do not go from winter to summer. This will only exacerbate the problem that you have. Try to pre-temper your baby. Before the trip, focus on the vitamins of group A, E, C. Let your child eat fruit and berries. Cruces, currants and pomegranates are especially useful. When you arrive at your destination, let your child rest, gain strength and get used to the temperature difference. Try to travel by train. It will be easier to perceive the change in climatic zones.
Returning home, you may face re-acclimatization. This process is sometimes more difficult than acclimatization itself. Do not immediately lead the child to the garden or school, because his health can dramatically worsen. Try, that your joint trip is in no way spoiled. Before you go on vacation, talk to your baby, pay close attention to his food. To reduce the risk of acclimatization in children, refuse before the trip from various vaccinations.
