When celebrating the Day of Forester
Forests cover a third of the land on the planet. This natural wealth is the key to environmental stability, the backbone of the economy and an important part of the national economy. Nurturing the preservation of the national treasures is the task of all citizens in General and foresters in particular. The day of the Forester, which is celebrated on the third Sunday in September, highlights the importance of forest lands.
The forest undergrowth was revered in ancient times. The religion of the druids is based on the symbolism of trees, herbs and shrubs. The pagan Slavs had animated the trees, and worship their spirits. The Romans had a holiday Lucaria, which is similar to our Trinity. On this day, they sang songs, recited spells, and dreamed about the good. In Italy there is a holiday tree, which is similar to the Day of Forester.
All these important dates urge to protect the trees from ruthless destruction. This is especially true in our day as has the whole world thinking about the environment and possible disasters.
In 1977, the Soviet Union adopted a "Forest law" for the protection and increase of forest areas across the country. Three years later the decree "About celebratory and memorable days" set the Day of the Forester, which is celebrated by people related to forestry: Rangers, foresters, all workers in the forest industry.
This solemn day is celebrated not only in our country but also in neighboring countries: Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus.
Forester – Forester, which is fixed for a specific area of the array with their plantings, buildings, structures and other property. For this position take individuals trained in a specialized training institution or on courses. The employee should be able to:
- to detect, extinguish and prevent fires
- to protect the array from unauthorized felling
- to protect trees from pests and diseases
- to protect animals, their habitats
- to carry out forestry work.
The day of the Forester shows the importance of a difficult profession and calls upon citizens in the ranks of forest workers. This date in our time as the forest area is steadily declining. The work of the Forester is particularly important, because it not only protects the land from illegal logging or hunting, but also involved in the planting of new arrays, monitor the health of plants and trees, supports in good condition observation posts. Forestry is in first place among the environmental systems of the state.
The day of Forester: holiday date
Grand date is not a fixed number, and is set as the third Sunday of September. Each year, the foresters fall get together, share experiences, listen to speeches and congratulations from the employees of the administration. Relatives and friends abundant meals. At the end of September in the forest is very beautiful, so even in the shower creates a mood of celebration.
The day of Forester in 2013 was held on September 15. It is celebrated solemnly, all employees related to forestry: loggers, experts at pulp and paper mills, inspectors, and representatives of related professions. In 2014, the festival falls on September 21.
