There are many things you can do to help you fall asleep faster. Your daily routine makes a huge difference in the quality and amount of sleep you get.

First of all, make sure your bedroom is conducive to a good night's sleep.

Keep the bedroom quiet. You may need to mask sounds, such as a fan, a CD with your favorite soothing sound, soft music or plain white noise.

Make sure your bedroom is dark. Use thick dark curtains or wear an eye mask if necessary. You can also check various online sites to read best sleeping guides.

Keep your bedroom cool. Most people sleep best when the temperature is around 65 degrees Fahrenheit.

Make sure you are comfortable in your bed. You may want to try a soft, hard, and in-between mattress to see which one works best for you.

An adjustable bed that can change the stiffness can also be an option. A mattress cover made of memory foam can also help. Try some of the different pillows available now.

Use your bed as a bed. Use it for sleeping, not for watching TV, working at the computer, or doing anything else in bed that wasn't intended. That way, you can teach your brain that when you go to sleep, that's where you sleep and nothing else.

Second, make a schedule for yourself. Set a specific time to go to bed and wake up in the morning. Start by choosing a bedtime that you think is appropriate and then go to bed at that time.
