Pharmacology and composition of the drug
Drops "Inspector" for dogs refer to combined antiparasitic drugs from fleas, nematodes, withers, sarcopthoid, ixodid and demodekozny ticks.
- fipronil - 10%;
- moxidectin - 2.5%;
- polyethylene glycol - 28.4%;
- DEME - 58.8%;
- OSH - 0.1%;
- BGA -0.2%.
The main active ingredients of the drug are fipronil and moxidectin. Fipronil has a blocking effect on GABA-dependent receptors of arthropods, which comes to disruption of nerve impulse transmission and, as a result, paralysis and subsequent death of parasites. Moxidectin causes muscle disruption, which also leads to paralysis and subsequent death of nematodes and ectoparasites.
As soon as fipronil is on the skin, it is practically not absorbed, it spreads throughout the body of the animal, being fixed on the wool and epidermis. Here he is able to maintain his action for a long time. Moxidectin, on the contrary, is rapidly absorbed into the circulatory system, organs and tissues. It is excreted unchanged together with feces.
The drug protects the animal after the first treatment against fleas for 6 weeks, from ticks 4 weeks.
"Inspector" - drops designed to protect and eliminate dogs and cats from various bloodsucking parasites. In addition, the drug acts against various helminths, for example, nematodes and other helminth parasites.
The drug is prescribed for the prevention and treatment of the following diseases:
- sarcoptic disease;
- nematodosis of the gastrointestinal tract (trichocephalus, unnicarious disease, toxocarosis, hookworm disease, toxaxaridosis);
"Inspector" - drops that have a third class of danger, that is, they are "moderately dangerous" for the body of warm-blooded animals. If the dosage indicated in the instructions is not exceeded, no skin irritation and other side effects should occur. In addition, the drops do not exert a destructive effect on the immunity of the animal and are harmless to embryos.
However, the product is toxic to bees, rabbits, fish and other aquatic organisms (aquatic inhabitants).

For proper application of the drug, the following recommendations should be observed:
- Drops are applied to dry, clean skin without any damage. The drug is dripped from the pipette to the place where the animal is not stretched by the tongue, for example, in the area of the shoulder blades, on the withers.
- In order for the drops to hit the skin accurately, it is necessary to spread the hair and apply it pointwise.
- If the animal is small, it will be sufficient to apply the drug in one place. If you are the owner of a large dog, it is best to process 3-4 points, so that the Inspector protects the entire body of the pet. When choosing places for applying the drug, remember that the animal should not reach them.

How many times to use the drug?
The rules for applying the preparation "Inspector" (drops for dogs) were presented above. The instruction, however, gives instructions as to how often it is necessary to treat the animal against fleas, gnats and mites.
To rid the animal of parasites, it is enough to apply drops only once. However, if you want to prevent re-infection, treatment should be carried out every 4-6 weeks during the whole time of activity of bloodsucking parasites.
The drug begins to function after 24 hours. Therefore, if you decide to walk the animal in places of large accumulation of ticks, then the treatment should be done a day before the planned walk.
To destroy the sucking mite, it is necessary to apply 1 drop of the drug to the parasite and the place to which it is attached. Within 20 minutes he should fall off. If this does not happen, then after the specified time, gently remove the tick with tweezers and destroy.
Treatment of otodectosis, demodectic and sarcoptic disease
In the treatment of otodectosis (a disease caused by ear mites), the outer ear canals are cleared of crusts and scabs, then 3-4 drops of the agent drip into each ear (it is mandatory to inject the drug into each ear, even if only one is affected so far). The substitute needs to fold the auricle along and massage its base. The remainder of the drug is applied between the scapulae. Treatment should be done every 7 to 10 days 2 to 3 times.
